Keep the North Shore Sane

This blog will be about the North Shore of Oahu. The focus will be on the politics, economics and lifestyle of the North Shore. The North Shore is such a small place, people are often intimidated and do not speak their mind. Here you can speak your mind. I accept guest posts either by name or anonymously as long as they are not obscene. Let's argue, let's be opinionated and let's really dig down into the issues that affect our lives here on the North Shore of Oahu.

Turtle Bay Ralph vs. Real Estate Agent Choon in Hawaii Business Magazine

In Hawaii Business Magazine's Spin Zone section, the story is of Turtle Bay Pros vs. Turtle Bay Cons.
Ralph Makaiau has been with Turtle Bay since the beginning and is one of the North Shore's truly great leaders. He is a Vietnam vet and has selflessly given thousands of hours to more projects than I can remember - Kahuku Hospital, Kahuku Schools, flooding and zoning projects, and the Unilateral Agreement with Turtle Bay and the Community.
Choon James, a Real Estate Agent here from Singapore is a great example of a Serial Protester who based on my analysis of her stories in the North Shore News and public comments is not a great admirer of the Capitalistic system.

The Hawaii Supreme Court agreed that the Turtle Bay Resort should update its 25 years old Environment Impact Statement on April 2010.

Why do big developers keep fighting common sense?

Oaktree is now gone after borrowing $400 million from Credit Suisse. What did the community got?

Why did Mayor Mufi Hannemann fought Hawaii residents all the way to the Supreme Court?
