Keep the North Shore Sane

This blog will be about the North Shore of Oahu. The focus will be on the politics, economics and lifestyle of the North Shore. The North Shore is such a small place, people are often intimidated and do not speak their mind. Here you can speak your mind. I accept guest posts either by name or anonymously as long as they are not obscene. Let's argue, let's be opinionated and let's really dig down into the issues that affect our lives here on the North Shore of Oahu.

How Embarassing Is This Power Outage?

So it is the busiest and best tourism time Oahu has had since last Christmas. The future President of the United States is here. The travelling press has been sending hourly updates from their rooms in Waikiki to the world, who are all watching TV because they are stuck in the snow.

So, what are the reports going to be like when we hear about reporters stuck in elevators, waiting in line for flashlights, food and water.

What a wasted opportunity to show the world something other than incompetence. This is a joke. Of course we can expect the North Shore to get power last, as usual.

Maybe HECO and the Governor want to make sure they got enough of the smartgrid funding that Obama has said will be a part of his early stimulus package? Wouldn't put it past these scammers.
